Realme launched its latest model Realme C21Y today (August 23) in India. It was launched in Vietnam earlier. It carries a triple rear camera setup along with a display that offers a 20:9 aspect ratio. The most notable feature of this new device is the reverse charging support. The company claims that the Super Power Saving Mode will deliver up to 2.33 days of standby time on five percent of charge on the battery. The camera has features like Super NightScape and Chroma Boost that will ensure better camera results. It also includes slo-mo and full-HD video recording.
The Realme C21Y will come with a price tag of Rs. 8,999 for its 3GB + 32GB variant. The 4GB + 64GB variant will have a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The available colour options are Cross Black and Cross Blue. The device will be available through Flipkart, the Realme.com site, and some select offline retailers. In Vietnam, it was priced roughly around Rs. 10,600 for the 3GB model and Rs. 12,100 for the 4GB model.
The phone will have dual-SIM and will run on Android 11 based Realme UI. As mentioned, the 6.5-inch HD+ display will have a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T610 SoC together with Mali-G52 GPU and up to 4GB of RAM. The triple rear camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Realme C21Y has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats.
The 64GB of internal storage can be further expanded by a microSD card up to 256GB. For connectivity, it has options for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other than the fingerprint sensor on the back, it also has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
The 5,000mAh battery that the device has, enables support for reverse wired charging. The dimensions of the phone read 164.5x76x9.1mm and it weighs almost 200 grams.
