There has been a lot of rumors around on Redmi Note’s India launch. To settle the dust, the company VP Hugo Barra has confirmed that the device will be reaching the Indian market soon. However, he did not reveal an exact date. he claimed that 10,000 units of the Redmi Note were sold in Indonesia in just 40 seconds. In an official Facebook post, he wrote, “Mi Indonesia: 10,000 Redmi Note out of stock in under 40 secs today! Redmi Note coming to India next.”
Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, 1.7GB of RAM and 8GB onboard storage with microSD card slot up to 32GB. Other features include a 3MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter for selfies and 3100mAh battery. It runs Xiaomi’s MIUI OS. Redmi Note would be priced at Rs 9,999.
