Some leaked informations from WhatsApp seem to show that the popular messaging service could be working on native Windows and Mac desktop apps. A Twitter account WABetaInfo which follows all the latest updates and details about WhatsApp has released a screenshot that shows hints about desktop apps.

WhatsApp rolled out WhatsApp Web last year that lets you use the service from your desktop browser like Chrome, Firefox and Opera. The Facebook owned popular instant messenger service has over 1 billion monthly active users and offers apps for various platforms like Windows Phone, BlackBerry OS, Nokia and Symbian devices.

WhatsApp native desktop apps for Windows and OSX would be nice addition and lets hope they become official soon.
