Twitter shows ‘Buy Now’ button in tweets

Twitter’s rumored shopping features seems to be much more than just a rumor. Recode has spotted the ‘Buy Now’ button underneath product images in several tweets that appeared in the mobile app. This appearance confirms that Twitter is experimenting with the social shopping feature. It can be yet another revenue source for the social networking site, as the ‘Buy Now’ button motivates people to make purchases when browsing their social feeds. It is said that the shopping link was frequently broken, but one tipster has reportedly was lucky enough to reach the checkout page in-app. Twitter is collaborating with Fancy.com, a social media site, whose products were showcased in these tweets. Twitter has not yet commented on these leaks. Now it remains to be seen whether or not it will survive beyond the experimenting stage.
