‘Search nearby’ comes back to Google Maps

searchnearby

Google has re-introduced “search nearby” option in Google Maps. This feature vanished after Mountain View launched the redesigned Google Maps. “Search nearby” lets you search for nearby restaurants, businesses and other points of interest based on an address, neighborhood or other location. This feature is already visible on the desktop version.

Before “search nearby” feature was re-introduced, you could perform the same sort of functionality by doing a follow-up search after typing in an address, but “search nearby” is more user-friendly, offering control over the zoom level. Although a very small change, but a significant one for the regular Google Maps users.
