Samsung to stop Galaxy Alpha production: Report

Samsung is reportedly planning to stop the production of its Galaxy Alpha smartphone as it gets ready to launch the comparatively cheaper Galaxy A5 in its home market. According a report in the Korean publication ET News, Galaxy Alpha hasn’t been very popular despite being the first Samsung phone with a metal frame and as the pressure mounts up for it to reduce the prices of its smartphones, the company is planning to replace the Galaxy Alpha with Galaxy A5. The Alpha will only remain in production until the existing components in the inventory aren’t cleared out, which is expected to happen around Feb-end next year.
