Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 with 4G LTE, Android 6.0 Announced

Samsung, as expected, has unveiled a new 2016 edition of the Galaxy Tab A tablet. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 has been announced in Germany and other European countries. It is now listed on the company’s Netherlands site.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1  will come in Wi-Fi and LTE variants priced at Rs. 22,000 and  Rs. 26,500 respectively. There is only one difference between the Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), the latter comes with SIM card and supports 4G LTE. Rest of the specifications of both the models is same.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 features a 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) TFT display. It is powered by an octa-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 200GB). The biggest highlight of the new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s skin on top. It sports an 8-mega pixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and also packs f/1.9 aperture. There is a 2-mega pixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture also on board.

The tablet is backed by a 7300mAh battery and comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Glonass, and Micro-USB connectivity options as well. It measures 254.2×155.3×8.2mm and weighs 525 grams.

As of now, there is no word whether the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 will be launching in more markets outside Europe including India.
