Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Software Update

Just two days after T-Mobile’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge got software updates, Verizon has started pushing updates to its own versions of the GS7 and GS7 edge. Verizon is pushing maintenance and security-focused updates to its Galaxy S7 and S7 edge that will bump the phones to software version MMB29M.G930VVRU2APD2 and MMB29M.G935VVRU2APD2, respectively. The updates bring “the latest security patches”  which includes the May Android security patches as well as some other improvements.

Verizon and Samsung made it “easier” to check individual app performance, fixed some bugs, and got rid of those silly multiple SD card pop-up notifications. Specific to the S7 Edge, the Calendar Edge panel also now shows a quick glance of upcoming events and their location info.

To check for the update, head into Settings>About phone>Software updates.
