Outlook.com adds new advanced rules and more

In-line-reply-body

Mircosoft has updated its webmail service, Outlook.com with new Advanced Rules feature along with three other features. The Advanced Rules option gives users more control over how emails are sorted on arrival, filed, or bumped to the top of your inbox. This feature also provides support for multi-action and multi-condition rules. It can also be used to combine your existing rules together and customize them.

The company has also improved its chat experience within Outlook.com. It now lets the users find their conversations and contacts easily and switch between clients mid-chat and continue on another device or service. The users can browse People by filtering what service they’re using (Skype, Facebook etc.) and see who’s currently available, icons will appear alongside names for Video, Call or just chat.

Outlook.com also gets an Undo option, which steps back through the last action you performed, so if you deleted or miscategorized a mail by mistake, you can rectify it easily. There is also an option to view and send in-line replies to save your precious time and track your conversations more easily. Microsoft has said that all the new features will start rolling out today but will make their way to all in “the next few weeks”.
