OnePlus plans an Indian smartphone for next year

After entering the Indian market with OnePlus One, the company is planning something exclusive for the country. Director of OnePlus Global, Carl Pei revealed about the plans for launching an India-specific smartphone next year.
The device has been quoted to arrive around the last quarter of 2015.

“We realize that India has its own specific needs, so we are setting up a team here to help localize our company and products. Next year we have one product planned specifically for India,” Pei said. When we asked him for a launch timeline, Pei said that it would arrive sometime in the last quarter of 2015.

Along with this exclusive smartphone, the company is also planning to launch OnePlus One successor, the OnePlus Two by the third quarter of next year. The list is not ending, the company has also partnered HCL to offer after-sales service for the Indian consumers. OnePlus has setup a team here to be perfect in India and then follow the same practice globally.

OnePlus One was launched in India for Rs 21,999. The device features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. There is also a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,100mAh battery. It runs CyanogenMod ROM CM11s with several customized features.
