New Moto X hints at a 5.5-inch Shattershield display to launch in August

After the Moto X force, Lenovo owned Motorola is reportedly going to bring it’s second shatter proof smartphone which could be named the Moto X4 (or the Moto X 2016). The device is expected to be unveiled in August this year.

The device will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display. The leaked images hint at home button below the screen surrounded by a square metal ring, which will most likely act as the fingerprint scanner as well.

Motorola will be launching two variants of the Moto X, which are rumoured to be Vector and Vertex. The Vector will supposedly be the premium version, with a 5.5-inch screen and 1440p resolution, as well as a 2GHz Snapdragon 820 processor. It will either sport 3GB or 4GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone will pack in a 2600mAh battery too.

On the other hand, Vertex is supposedly a downgraded version of the Vector, with the same display size but a lower resolution of 1080p. However, the design is all-metal and will offer a bigger battery at 3500mAh. It could be powered by a 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 16GB of internal storage. It is rumoured to sport a 16MP rear camera with laser and phase detect focus system.
