BGR has published the images of what it claims to be the first clear look of Amazon’s upcoming smartphone. The device has previously appeared online but inside bulky cases, which was again to the credit of BGR. At first glance, the device closely resembles Google’s Nexus 4 with glass on both sides and a thin metal bezel. The most notable feature of this device is the inclusion of six cameras, which is visible here as well, with four cameras positioned across the face on each corner to offer a unique 3D-like user experience.
The image above shows off earpiece design, volume toggle, SIM slot, home button below the display, a micro USB port at the bottom and another button on the phone’s left side. The device as you can see is browsing the Kindle ebook store, so there is not much details on software. The device is expected to run a version Fire OS. BGR notes that multiple sources have confirmed legitimacy of the image. Previous reports have claimed that Amazon will unveil its smartphone in June with plans to ship it to consumers sometime this fall.
