HTC unveils the One S9 with 5-inch 1080p display with BoomSound speakers

HTC has added a new member to its One series smartphone category with the launch of the One S9 in Germany. The phone sports a metal uni body design, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest HTC Sense user interface on top. The device sports dual front-facing Boom Sound speakers and Dolby Audio in a bid to offer an immersive media experience.

The HTC One S9 sports a 5-inch full HD display protected by a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The phone is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core 64-bit processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR G6200 GPU. It comes with 16GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.

For imaging, the HTC One S9 sports a 13MP rear snapper with a dual-LED flash, optical image stabilisition, f/2.0 aperture and 4K video recording. For selfies, it gets an UltraPixel front-facing shooter with f/2.0 aperture and full HD video recording. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS, and NFC. A 2,840mAh battery keeps the phone running.

The HTC One S9 has been priced  Rs 37,500, and will be available in Gold, Gunmetal Grey and Silver variants.
