Google’s security services for Android will also check installed apps

Google has announced that it has added an additional level of security to its service layer that will ensure a malware free Android devices. The Verify apps, which alerts the users at the time of installation for bad apps, will now continually check devices to make sure that all apps are behaving in a safe manner, even after installation. This enhancement will catch hold of all the alarming apps that flew under the radar at the time of the installation or the apps that have been installed before the Verify apps was introduced in 2012.

Rich Cannings, Android Security Engineer said that “most people will never see a warning or any other indication that they have this additional layer of protection. But we do expect a small number of people to see warnings (which look similar to the existing Verify apps warnings) as a result of this new capability.”
