Google+ adds view counts for user profiles

googleplus-view-count

Its not long ago that Twitter has shown the intention of introducing view counts to individual tweets and now Google has already switched to a similar initiative. Now your profile will show total number of views. This count includes the number of times your content has been seen by other people, including your photos, posts, and profile page. You can also see total number of views at someone else’s profile or page, unless they are hiding it. To hide or show the view count of your profile & other content, you have to follow the following steps:

  1. Open Google+ and click Home in the upper left corner.
  2. Click Settings > scroll to “Profile.”
  3. Check or uncheck the box to the left of “Show how many times your profile and content have been viewed.”

These settings can not be adjusted using the mobile version of Google+, which means you have to depend on the desktop version.
