Chinese company launches sunglass sized VR headset

dlodlo-VR-2With so many virtual reality headsets in the market already, there’s certainly space for more. Chinese company Dlodlo Technologies has made its foray into VR with a headset that looks like a pair of regular sunglasses. The headset is named as ‘V One lightweight VR headset.’

Weighing 2.7 ounces, the Shenzhen-based company is calling it “the world’s first portable VR glass.”Virtual Reality is currently one of the hottest markets and big firms such as Facebook, Samsung, Microsoft and HTC are betting big on it, despite its limitations for now. Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has said that he sees virtual reality as the next major computing platform.

2016 has been hailed as the year of VR, marking the launches of the Oculus Rift,HTC Vive, and Sony PlayStation VR headsets. Following the lead of the big players, Indian companies, such as Karbonn too have forayed into the Virtual Reality market. The company recently launched its VR headset, but it’s only available with its flagship smartphone.
