Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ launched in India for Rs 16,999

Alcatel has launched One Touch Idol X+ smartphone in India for Rs 16,999. The phone will be exclusively retail in Flipkart from June 3. The company is also bundling a pair of free JBL headphones and a BoomBand with the device.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ features a 5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor with Mali-450MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It includes 16/32GB of internal memory and there is no microSD card slot for expansion. The device houses a 2500mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 27 hours of 2G talk time, 650 hours of 2G standby time, and continuous music playback of up to 36 hours.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ sports a 13.1-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, which is capable of recording 1080p videos, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slot with 3G network support on one SIM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS/AGPS.
